I’ve always been fascinated by business intelligence practices. This is what led me to study Law and Business at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide in Seville.
I initially joined Quintas as a legal intern during my degree and later became part of the legal team full time, where I spent two years gaining experience working on various renewable energy investment projects. This gave me a deep understanding of the lifecycle of projects from a technical, legal, and financial perspective.

Seeing as my passion has always been business strategy, I later joined the reporting team at Quintas. This gave me the chance to develop internal and client business intelligence tools that proved really useful for our investment management processes.
I am now working for Quintas Analytics as the Head of Business Intelligence. This role essentially means I am in charge of managing client data and reporting related requirements. I ensure our team has the correct tools in place to make renewable energy management decisions easier for the investors and asset managers we work with.
I always try to approach projects through a dual perspective – combining both my business and IT knowledge. It is vital to consider the operational side of asset management to make the most informed decisions regarding the best use of digital technologies and tools. Business intelligence and digitisation tools are only relevant if they help clients make better informed decisions.
Another part of my role involves ensuring our analytics team focuses on developing and maintaining best-in-class data governance tools for renewable energy investment portfolios. Along with developing the best visualisation tools to support better informed management systems, we develop vital digital solutions for solar assets. Quintas Analytics is all about dealing with data to allow clients the time to focus on the value-added analysis.
The energy sector is now in a profound transition towards a very important energy transformation, and digitalisation is one of the key facilitators to ensure that this is fulfilled. Accelerating the energy transition is not an option, it is a global requirement.
I most enjoy translating the needs of the client into useful business intelligence tools to support management services and to help reduce their data related headaches.
I think one of the biggest challenges we face within the solar energy sector is asset and process heterogeneity. In order to meet the needs of our clients, we have developed an internal Digital Twins system, so we can deal with heterogeneity by consolidating and governing complex portfolio data. This is the very first step towards supporting the development of digestible, flexible management tools. Without the right data governance structures these tools cannot function.
