I have been working as a freelance chartered accountant and auditor for over 25 years. I joined Quintas officially at the beginning of 2020, but have been working closely with the company as an external advisor for their Italian clients since 2011.
When I joined the Quintas team full-time as the Country Manager for Italy, it was a huge professional move for me. I have spent the majority of my career as a freelancer, working with clients from all over the world and from different industries. This role is quite different because I am working specifically within one sector. I am thrilled I made this move. Quintas is a forward-thinking organisation, and it is truly motivating to work for a company like this. I love working with young people, it is always exciting and refreshing. They share their enthusiasm with me, and I share my experience with them.

In terms of my academic background, I graduated in Economics and Commerce from the University of Rome in 1993 and became a chartered accountant. I also completed an MBA thanks to a scholarship from Renault, Italy.
It became clear in my mind that, together with finance, my passion was accounting and fiscality. For this reason, I spent three years working for a consultancy firm as a financial auditor before becoming self-employed. I continued to work for small and medium-sized companies as a freelance accountant and auditor alongside delivering lectures and training sessions, mainly covering the concepts of managing a company from a cost management control and financial perspective.
One of the best parts of my role at Quintas is the opportunity to interact with people have direct contact with our clients. I am a people person, and I enjoy the chance to explain face-to-face what we do for clients to ensure we can achieve the maximum results for their renewable assets.
As I have worked with Quintas and its Italian clients for over ten years, I have built a solid relationship with them all. Supported by a qualified team, I manage and take care of the assets for our Italian clients as if they were my own.
As the Country Manager for Italy, I support new business development and manage all fiscal-related matters for our Italian clients. I also coordinate with our finance, technical and legal teams to give me an overall understanding of the Italian portfolios. This means I can see how the assets are performing from every point of view.

My job is challenging, but I am passionate about what I do. I love working in the renewable energy industry because it is dynamic, flexible, and constantly evolving.
The best advice I would give to anyone, no matter what stage they are in their career is, to never stop believing in yourself and study a lot. Learning isn’t just about degrees or masters; you must keep exploring, learning, and researching while you are working. Stay humble, and you will find that there is something valuable to learn from every single person you meet.
