Quintas Energy receives a grant for its Digitalisation & Process Optimisation Project for International Growth & the Evolution of the Work Environment

Following a period of intense work by team members across the Quintas Energy group, we are delighted to announce that we recently qualified for a grant under FEDER – the European Union’s regional development fund, which assists organisations in working smarter and more competitively through increased automation, digitisation, digital connectivity, and greater company mobility.

Our developmental project used a similar approach to other institutions worldwide, which are responding to current market demands by adapting and digitalising their information and business processes, all while implementing technological advances that allow them to deploy automated solutions to boost the efficiency of essential processes.

In this respect, it is a global project for Quintas Energy, framed within a technological strategy of decentralisation devised to be compatible with our current phase of international expansion. This progress requires a mass transfer to the cloud of the processes, systems, and infrastructure necessary for day-to-day operations to be possible from any location – implemented in a way which does not hamper the company's activities in new countries.

The project consists of 10 key objectives, which can be summarised as follows:

  • Preventing artificial limits on global expansion due to insufficiently developed manual processes and inadequate tools.
  • Replacing outmoded processes that limit international growth by upgrading, automating, and unifying them to produce a new integrated model using up to date financial instruments.
  • Avoiding remote workers’ dependence on in-office infrastructure.
  • Establishing a robust workplace model that can be applied and managed from anywhere, including while working from home.
  • Building the necessary resilience into headquarters’ local access and filing systems to enable multiple secure external connections.
  • Modifying whatever processes require attendance in person, automating aspects that would otherwise require presence in the office wherever possible.
  • Improving the processes to be modified, so that they can be executed efficiently and securely.
  • Integrating different processes to be modified, to achieve a level of interactivity previously unavailable without automation.
  • Maintaining the option of remote work for all members of Quintas Energy, as far as is practicable.
  • Improving remote workers’ productivity, facilitating the alternation of office work and working from home.

We are very happy to confirm that all these objectives have been fully achieved. Now, at the end of the project, Quintas Energy's capacity for expansion is at its peak and the option of working from home for any team member is a material fact. Furthermore, the processes and systems at Quintas have been transformed to attain the high levels of resilience and security that are necessary for such a transformative change.
