Quintas Energy received a grant for 17,120.00 euros to develop an app to support solar PV site visits.

The grant supported the development and installation of the Quintas Site Visit App for the technical inspection of photovoltaic (PV) plants and reporting processes. The purpose of the Site Visit App is to help automate activities associated with the identification, classification and reporting of incidents to increase accuracy and save time.

The multi-defect identification app integrates with our web platform, Adriane, giving clients access to all site visit information and data via one easy-to-use platform.

The app provides a regulated set of technical terms for incident classification and reporting to help prioritise tasks. GPS linked directly from the Site Visit App ensures our experts can locate and address issues in a logical and timely manner.

When revisiting a solar installation, the Site Visit App can import information regarding previously identified defects stored in our incident management platform to establish a more comprehensive picture of any new or ongoing faults.

The grant, awarded by the Regional Government of Andalusia (Junta de Andalucía), was 80% co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Project Lead and the Head of Backoffice for our Asset Management Department, Ignacio Ruiz, said: “Site visits are an essential part of our asset management solutions, but the manual nature of reporting defects costs too much valuable time. Our Site Visit App automates the process of recording installation defects and integrates with our incidents report database to solve issues quickly and effectively.”
