Quintas Energy welcomed Jorge Paradela, Andalusian Minister of Industry, Energy and Mines, to its headquarters in Seville, accompanied by Antonio José Ramírez, Territorial Delegate of the Ministry in Seville.
The meeting was attended by Quintas Energy’s executive team, led by Declan O’Halloran (CEO) and Aida Durnes (COO), alongside senior managers from key business areas: Francisco Domínguez (SHEQ), Jesús Nuñez (Asset Management), Irene Reyes (Advisory), and Antonio Domínguez (Analytics).
During the visit, the most relevant milestones of the company’s activities in Andalusia were presented, where Quintas currently manages 1,850 MW of renewable assets, representing 24% of the region’s installed capacity (REE, March 2025). This capacity is equivalent to 3.61 TWh of annual generation, enough to power more than one million households in Andalusia.
The agenda included a tour of the 24/7 Control Room, where the delegation saw how Quintas monitors in real time the SCADA system of the Unbroken Hospital in Lviv (Ukraine) – a solidarity project designed to reinforce energy resilience in crisis contexts. The discussion also covered the next steps of this humanitarian initiative, as well as the company’s plans in the fields of innovation, equality, ESG, and support for industrialisation in Andalusia.
During his visit, the Minister highlighted that: “Andalusia has once again set record figures in the deployment of renewable energy, adding 3,607 MW of sustainable capacity over the last twelve months, bringing its renewable electricity generation fleet to 16,111 MW as of the end of June.”
He added: “Clean energy at competitive prices represents a major opportunity to attract industrial investment to Andalusia – this is where the region’s great advantage lies.” In this regard, Paradela noted that of the €17 billion in industrial investment attracted during this legislature, “more than €9 billion is linked to green industry projects.”
The Minister also stressed that: “Andalusia continues to move forward in its objective of decarbonising the energy model, while at the same time generating new business opportunities and industrial development.” He further underlined that “renewables can offer solutions in complex contexts such as wars or humanitarian crises.”
In this context, Jorge Paradela praised Quintas Energy’s commitment, highlighting its donation of a solar PV and battery system to provide stable electricity supply to a major hospital in Ukraine.
